Personalmente non so ancora com'è fatto.
(Tanto lo so già che rimango alla '5'! :-P )

Veloci impressioni (non in ordine):

- hanno snellito l'interfaccia;
- stessi bug vecchi (Re: etc...);
- nessuna novità degna di nota (mouse gesture?);
- language pack completamente diverso;
- non ho capito dove salva le impostazioni;
- molta roba in cinese nell'eseguibile (che rimane in cinese senza
Chinese.lgb);
- nuove icone sempre gradevoli.

Anche se esce sono tutte mischiate ed è un lavoro comunque molto lungo,
i presupposti che ripagherebbero (moralmente) un lavoro del genere non
li ho trovati.

bha, dal chinese.lgb allegato si riesce abbastanza facilmente a
risalire alle voci di traduzione (leggendo l'intestazione in inglese).
Io ho tradotto le prime 50 voci in mezzora ed il riscotro
sull'interfaccia del programma è buono... ma non so se mai finirò
questo lavoro... ;-) )

Premetto che si incomincia a leggere qualcosa nei forum tedeschi e
francesi.

Spiego molto sinteticamente, poi se c'è qualcuno a cui interessa spiego
meglio.

Intanto nello zip c'è la nuova versione LangTool (del programmino per
aprire Chinese.lgb); le novità sono che esporta e importa da file di
testo, con sintassi come file .ini.

Il mio obbiettivo era non muovere un dito finché non si riuscisse a
riutilizzare tutto il lavoro svolto per la 6.5.

Il file Chinese.lgb della 6.5 non ha il charset dichiarato (legge ed
esporta comunque l'unicode), il nuovo Chinese.lgb della 7 è in GB2312.

Nello zip ho messo anche un minimale editor di testo (edxor) che
permette di salvare il file modificato come binario, per cui si può
aprire e modificare Chinese.lgb anche solo con quello.

Comunque, ho convertito in utf-8 il file in italiano della 6.5 (con
edxor), l'ho esportato in un file di testo (con langtool) e rimominato
in .ini.

Ho aperto il file cinese originale della 7 e ho esportato i campi
(vuoti) in un file di testo, rinominato in .ini.

Con uno script fatto con AutoIt ho letto tutte le righe dell'ini 6.5,
ho cercato se aveva una corrispondenza nell'ini della 7, in caso
positivo gli ho fatto copiare la traduzione italiana.

Il risultato è in fm7_ita.txt, poi importato con il langtool e salvato
nel Chinese.lgb.

Speravo ci fossero più campi uguali, comunque meglio di niente.

Il software rimane comunque inutilizzabile, mancano troppe voci, quelle
però sono da scrivere come nuove.

Nel forum tedesco sono riusciti a contattare la Tencent, sembra che
possa arrivare un Chinese.lgb in inglese.

Altrimenti loro hanno copia-incollato il cinese su Google translator
per capire il significato delle stringhe.

Con Resource Hacker si potrebbero esportare le risorse in file di testo
e fare da lì, ma c'è troppa altra roba in mezzo.

Lo sto provando su una partizione separata, mi sta importanto 32 GB di
vecchie e-mail messe nella cartella /data/mails .. ho già visto che
l'uncia cosa che mi auguravo funzionasse non va neanche in questa
versione, l'allarme sulle mail !!! Mi dice sempre "time format
error" , appena finto l'installazione ci gioco un po e poi disistallo
tutto in attesa di beta un po meno frequenti e qualche traduzione
senza troppi ideogrammi :-)

Grazie Renato.... era cosi semplice ed intuitivo !!!

Sto smanettando la versione 7
- ha importato tutti i 32 GB di mesaggi e account (5) precedenti,
tutto sembra stabile
- compaiono i caratteri cinesi al posto del nome delle cartelle posta
in arrivo ed ovviamente è tutto ancora in inglese
- la struttra degli archivi è totalmente nuova ha creato oltre 30
cartelle da circa 800 gb l'una, non esiste piu il file .box ma solo
file di sistema

Io sono un utilizzatore felice di foxmail da piu di 6 anni, che ho

Di media con il sito di ecommerce ricevo 150/200 email a giorno ed
ancora la mia installazione
di foxmail da 19GB (allegati esclusi) resiste ed è funzionante.

aiutami.
Ho provato la versione 7 che è velocissima
Dato che la uso in rete e, fino alla versione 6.5 foxmail poteva
essere avviato anche da
piu macchine in rete, anche in contemporanea, ( noi la usiamo da 4
postazioni con 4 caselle diverse scambiandoci spesso le postazioni)
adesso non riesco a far partire piu di un istanza per volta.
Mi sembra di aver visto che la versione 7 viene eseguita una sola
istanza per volta, a meno che non abbia sbagliato qualcosa.
Se qualcuno potesse aiutarmi le sarei molto grato, siamo disposti
anche a pagare una personalizzazione se qualcuno lo facesse per
lavoro.

Ebbene si ho un HD da 25 Terabyte sul notebook....:-) Vabbè dai è
evidente che sono MB e non GB, la fretta di scrivere.
Colgo l'occasione per associarmi al messaggio di Alberto, anch'io sono
almeno 7 anni che uso Foxmail in ufficio su 4 postazioni per un totale
di una 7 account, alcuni condivisi altri no, con 32 GB di archivi.
Negli anni ho provato altre alternative ma completa e user friendly
come foxmail non ho trovato nulla.

Una volta scompattate le risorse RC_DATA da Foxmail.exe mediante
Resource Tuner (resource hacker inizia ad essere un po' vecchiotto), ho
dato in pasto i file .dfm e le ..ResStrings.. agli script, in pochi
minuti si forma il file .ini di lingua in inglese.

Poi ci vuole qualche ora per aggiungere "a mano" le stringhe che gli
script non hanno trovato (sostanzialmente gli .Items e le .Caption su
più righe), correggere un po' la diversa sintassi (sostanzialmente i
`'' al posto dei `#39' e i `;' al posto degli `a capo') e qualche
errore qua e là.

Il risultato, IMO soddiscente:

Se qualche volenteroso lo testa (ci sono parecchi `MISS' nel file di
lingua, ma secondo me sono stringhe abbandonate) scartafrugliando in
tutti i menù, controllando che ci siano tutte le voci (e che non
compaia mai la scritta MISS).

Fatto ciò, adesso c'è la base per partire con la traduzione in italiano
(siamo in autunno, c'è tutto un lungo inverno).

Sempre con uno script, partendo dalla "fatica" precedente, ho iniziato
a costruire il file in italiano, importando il prezioso lavoro di
*AlexSeb* & *ReZ*, compatibile con la nuova versione:

Ovviamente manca molto (l'inverno se no a cosa serve?), ma IMO è una
buona base di partenza (anche se cambia qualcosa con la versione finale
di FM7, reimportare le voci con degli script è un attimo).

Una volta finito di fare il file .ini andrà ovviamente importato con il
LanguageTool (ho postato il link l'altro post) e salvato in
Chinese.lgb.

Se qualcuno non ha capito qualcosa, vuole gli script, desidera
approfondire, sono più o meno a disposizione.

P.S. Molte stringhe già tradotte precedentemente, nella sezione
[.ResStrings] (una delle più importanti), le ho dovute rimettere in
inglese, perché quei pisquani di cinesi hanno messo stringhe diverse
nello stesso numero.

Riguardando quindi nel file fm_65_italian.txt (link post precedente)
stessa sezione, molte righe si possono riprendere da lì e mettere nel
posto giusto del Chinese_it_81.ini.

(siamo in autunno, c'è tutto un lungo inverno).

Personalmente ti esprimo il più caloroso e sincero apprezzamento
per tutto l'impegno ed il tempo che gli dedichi. :-)

Mi riservavo di esprimere il mio giudizio su questa versione '7'
dopo averla eseguita.
Adesso l'ho eseguita, ma non vorrei già dire le mie impressioni
definitive perché queste sarebbero ancora troppo superficiali e
sommarie e ricalcherebbero troppo l'espressione fantozziana
riguardo al film "La Corazzata Potëmkin". :-))

Se ho visto bene, in quel poco che ho visto... I quit. :-|

Centinaia di cartelle, e miriadi di file... le e-mail importate
(di importare un account non se ne parla) suddivise in decine
di spezzoni codificati[*]... visualizzazione dei messaggi senza
wordwrap... visualizzazione in HTML del corpo dei messaggi TEXT...
bug, IMO imperdonabile :-(((, uguale a quello della versione '6.5':
nell'elenco visualizza *solo* il campo FROM e non, come nella '5',
FROM per i messaggi ricevuti e TO per quelli inviati.

[*] Ieri, tramite un rapido scambio di e-mail, un utilizzatore
è riuscito a recuperare oltre il 90% dei messaggi da un disco
corrotto (da file .BOX).

Per me, questa versione '7', non è più *il mio Foxmail*. :-/
Se l'avessero chiamata "Booh_Mail" IMO era meglio. :-)
Io la ridefinirei "un calendario/Reader RSS con annesso client di
posta" (quasi peggio di MS Outlook, a parte il fatto che non sparge
i file sui vari dischi del pc...) :-/

Ma se solo avessero corretto un piccolissimo errore in una stringa
dell'eseguibile della versione '5', non avremmo avuto bisogno di
Stunnel o della versione '6.X' per dialogare correttamente con i
Server in SSL (tanto le librerie SSL sono le stesse)!
L'IMAP, che ci sia o meno, a me personalmente non interessa, non
ne vedo l'utilità, oggigiorno, con l'ADSL, con hardisc a pochi
centesimi a GByte, con le Webmail efficienti e funzionali...

La "posta" è "posta", il resto, secondo me, è fuffa. :-)

6.5 che spesso si è obbligati ad usare, perché le versioni
precedenti non riescono più a fare il fetch da GMail :-/

Beh, io ho risolto con Stunnel, continuando ad usare la '5':

- Decomprimi l'exe (7-Zip) e metti gli 8 file *dove* vuoi;
- esegui 'stunnel.exe' prima di ricevere/inviare via SSL;
- tutto qui.
- Sì, c'è da modificare 'stunnel.conf'. Il mio è questo:

salvi come binario) cerchi la riga di comando di foxhot (vedi che viene
lanciato con degli switch `FoxHot.exe -show open'), puoi provare a
fare il contrario, gli scrivi "stunnel" - è un carattere in più, tentar
non nuoce).

Ciao a tutti, sono passato oggi alla 7 nella speranza di risolvere 2
bugs che affliggevano la 6.5:
1) L'impostazione "cancella i messaggi più vecchi di X giorni dal
server" non funziona
2) La PEC di Aruba in modalità IMAP non viene letta

In questa versione l'opzione per lasciare copia dei messaggi sul
server è più nascosta... ma non sono ancora sicuro che funzioni.
Non ho ancora provato l'IMAP, ma mi sono accorto che non si possono
più disabilitare RSS e Calendario...
Inoltre questa cosa del cinese hard-coded mi deprime.

Mi sa che se non succede qualcosa velocemente passo a Sylpheed e farò
senza visualizzazione html...

Ragazzi ho un problema durante l'importazione degli account di posta
da foxmail 6.5.

Per ciascun account ho una serie di cartelle nelle quali ho diviso le
mail a seconda dell'argomento.

Il problema che si presenta riguarda i nomi di tali cartelle, non ne
riconosce neppure una...tutte le cartelle sono senza nome...

Capita anche a voi?

Problema rientrato, con il pc di casa nessun problema...mah!

Ho riscontrato però alcune differenze con la precedente versione che
non mi soddisfano, ad esempio la gestione dei template...

Con Foxmail gestisco diversi account e per ognuno ho personalizzato i
template di nuovo msg, risposta ed inoltro con la nuova versione non è
possibile farlo...
